About EMORTAL

Independent since 1997. Rooted in LA street culture. Still here.

1997 — The Beginning

EMORTAL was founded in Los Angeles by Rod Anthony and Eric A., born out of the city's underground street dance and hip-hop scene. The name says it all: being an Extraordinary Mortal in an everyday world — resilient, self-made, built to outlast the trend cycle.

Early 2000s — Building the Movement

The original '97 box logo tee became the brand's signature piece. EMORTAL found its home in the boutiques that mattered — In4mation, Lafayette, Reed Space — and on the floor at ASR, MAGIC, POOL, and AGENDA, the trade shows that shaped an entire era of streetwear.

This wasn't a brand chasing shelf space. It was a brand built by the culture it came from, carried forward by the people who understood it.

Going Global

What started on LA sidewalks reached Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and Belgium — carried by shops and collectors who recognized the culture behind the clothes, not just the logo.

Collaborators & Community

Along the way, EMORTAL worked alongside artists and creatives like Bill Dennis, Jayski One, and Inna2nd. The brand was never just about apparel — it was about the people building something together, one drop at a time.

Today

EMORTAL still remains.

Rooted in resilience. Never giving up.
